Drosera binata, Forked Sundew
Drosera binata produces threadlike leaves that glisten in the morning light. This is a temperate species that goes dormant in winter and can be grown well with flytraps and Sarracenia. These do particularly well grown outside in Texas as long as they are kept wet with good quality water.
Drosera binata has many varieties. 'Marston Dragon' is cultivar that was bred by crossing Drosera dichotoma and multifida. It has the increased branches of multifida with the hardiness of dichotoma.
Note Octopus is a new variety of multifida that produces a plethora of forked arms.
