The parents of this cross could not be more different and results are outstanding. Nepenthes merrilliana is a giant lowland species from the Phillipines while Nepenthes aristolochioides is an exacting highlander that has some of the most bizarre lobster-trap style pitchers in the genus. The cross results in a vigorous and temperature tolerant hybrid that attains pitchers with a large size but also has the vertical pitcher opening reminiscent of aristolochioides. Highly recommended! All plants are randomly assorted clones from Borneo Exotics.
