Nepenthes singalana hails from the Barisan range in Sumatra. The form from Gunung Belirang (BE-3170) produces elaborately flared, dark peristomes on large pitchers. We’ve used this plant extensively in our breeding program with impressive results. Unlike many other Nepenthes, this species produces very impressive traps even when small. It’s best grown as a highland plant.
