A stunning hybrid from Carnivero's breeding stable. Song of Melancholy was of one Leilani Nepenthes's signature crosses and is believed to be Nepenthes boschiana x (spectabilis x veitchii). The male parent is our giant Nepenthes truncata (c). This is a fast and vigorous grower that seems to do well under intermediate and lowland conditions. We expect the pitchers to be huge, flared and amazingly colorful as they mature and we are already seeing the evidence of that even at smaller sizes.
