Sarracenia leucophylla is an American Pitcher Plant found in bogs mainly in Alabama , the Florida panhandle and Georgia. The species produces pitchers with beautiful white light windows highlighted in reds. Unlike other members of the genus, leucophylla produces its very best pitchers in the fall.
The alba variety tends to produce predominately white traps with less veining or coloration than other forms. Note that pitcher coloration may be both seasonally dependent and varying with the age of the plant. It can also change as pitchers age.
