Nepenthes macfarlanei, CAR-0016

Regular price $34.99

In our book, Nepenthes macfarlanei would be formidable contender for the most underappreciated Nepenthes species in the genus.  Its pitchers exhibit gorgeous striping with a flared peristome and a unique toothy shape underneath the peristome neck which isn’t commonly encountered.  Thus far, there’s been only a very limited number of clones available to collectors. The plants we are offering a seed grown from the Genting Highlands and exhibit a wide range of colors and shapes already.  Note that since macfarlanei grows sympatrically with ramispina and sanguinea hybrids may be possible; however, we've done our best to grow the plants out to sufficient size to be able to distinguish them.

We’ve found Nepenthes macfarlanei to appreciate highland conditions but it can grow well under intermediate conditions as well.

This product is considered a Highland Tropical plant.  Please see our Shipping and Guarantees policy for cold/hot weather shipping guidelines.

Most of our products come with multiple shipping options.  For those that are unpotted, you can add Pots and Soil or Hanging Baskets a la carte.
