Nepenthes albomarginata Sintang-Singawa "Mango", CAR-0011

Regular price $39.99

Nepenthes albomarginata is a widespread lowland species from throughout peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra.  Its signature characteristic is a white ring underneath the peristome which functions as an extremely effective termite bait.  We’ve observed plants in the wild filled to the brim with termites (and subsequently the white exudate had been eaten off).

The plants for sale are seed grown from Sintang-Singawa in Kalimantan, Sumatra.  These are a very unique variety with an orange colored ring underneath the peristome instead of the classic white.  Though none of these are the published cultivar 'Mangomarginata', they do bear a striking resemblance to it (some with even better color) so we've dubbed them "Mango".  The leaves on these plants are red and green and the pitchers on even clone are unique (anywhere from peach to orange to red).  Please leave us a comment at purchase and we will do our best to fulfill your request for a specific color.

Nepenthes albomarginata is best grown as an intermediate to lowland species.  It needs good drainage or it's prone to fungal infections!  We use net pots and a well drained media.  Good air movement is also appreciated.

This product is considered a Intermediate Tropical plant.  Please see our Shipping and Guarantees policy for cold/hot weather shipping guidelines.

Most of our products come with multiple shipping options.  For those that are unpotted, you can add Pots and Soil or Hanging Baskets a la carte.
