Regular price $18.69Nepenthes peltata comes from Mindanao in the Phillipines. It’s quite a variable species in both stature and color but generally produces very robust, tubby pitchers with a very wide mouth. The tendril insertion is peltate (meaning coming from inside the leaf) but plants have to be fairly large to exhibit this characteristic. It’s documented to grow from 800 meters to over 1600 meters so it’s likely tolerant of a wide range of conditions. We’ve grown it successfully in our lowland, intermediate and highland greenhouses.
The plants available are from Borneo Exotics (BE-4025). They are a random assortment of pooled clones from TC. Many have excellent form and some of have even produced exudate underneath the lids in a fashion similar to Nepenthes lowii.
