Nepenthes Edinensis x (mirabilis var. globosa x ampullaria Black Miracle)
Nepenthes Edinensis x (mirabilis var. globosa x ampullaria Black Miracle) exhibits some beautiful traits even at a small size. Plants are all seed grown individuals so some variability is expected. At this point, we're seeing a lot of dark coloration in both the leaves and pitchers and plants still have a long ways to maturity where we'll see their true potential.
Nepenthes Edinensis is an old Victorian lowland hybrid, between [rafflesiana x (rafflesiana x hirsuta)] x (rafflesiana x ampullaria)). Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa and ampullaria compliment each other very well in hybrids and usually produce fantastic results. Nepenthes ampullaria 'Black Miracle' was placed in the mix resulting in most offspring having its beautiful black variegated leaves as well as its dark, striped pitchers.
