Nepenthes (spectabilis x lowii) x hamata, CAR-0076 is a cross we're extremely excited to see develop! The female parent is a vibrantly colorful Nepenthes spectabilis x lowii originally from EP. The male hamata used is a Lumut form from Malesiana Tropicals. Even at a small size, we are seeing toothiness come through. Our hope is retain the woody texture and coloration of the female parent as the plant matures. Seedlings currently have pale coloration which we've noticed is a common characteristic of many young plants of crosses with spectabilis parentage.
