Sarracenia flava is an American Pitcher Plant found in bogs from Alabama up the eastern seaboard into Virginia. Flava var. rugelii f viridescens comes from a population of rugelii but is anthocyanin free so lacks the throat patch and is instead all green. Sunny conditions are required for full color and flava produces its best pitchers early in the season.
